The second Albany High School was located on Eagle Street, between Steuben Street and Columbia Street. The construction of the building got under way on September 14, 1874, and was completed and ready for dedication on May 4, 1876. It was constructed of limestone ashlar to the top of the basement, and the superstructure was of Philadelphia pressed brick with blackstone trimmings, and courses of white brick. The Albany Country Court House is located there now.
